This is a pathetic book. The writers have used the same formula as with their book on Figs. The photographs are mainly of Pine trees and this cannot relate to Junipers. In the book on Figs they use the same Pine photographs. The "tricks of the trade" are such common knowledge that the presentation is an insult to anybody that has worked with either figs or junipers. A waste of your money.
This book is very short and basic. From the title I was expecting a little bit of in depth information about Junipers as a species. Most of the pictures weren't even juniper trees or examples. Sadly disappointing.

Basic styling techniques and repotting are also explained with good photos and drawings. People who have gained basic knowledge about bonsai in general and want to know more special information about their juniper bonsai will benefit from this guide.

Very nice introduction to Juniper bonsai and their basic care. An easy read with great illustrations.
Only three available e books available offering a basic common sense understanding of junipers is insufficient. Thousands of years of cultivation, practice, mental, and physical labor, and all that we have is there identical books telling you that they like the outside, and not to give it too much or too little water. Could anyone be more ambiguous? Should I breathe oxygen? Should I breathe too much oxygen? Should I breathe too little oxygen? Was the first draft written in crayon? You can find all the information contained in this book on wikipedia. I thought anything alive had complexities to be explored. Wouldn't any beginner want the esoteric information about his/her juniper? It's only the archetypal bonsai tree, the most abundant one around! The bonsai masters DIDN'T HAVE WIKIPEDIA!!!
