I've only been into marble collecting/selling for about six months now, so I lean heavily on price and identification guides. I have consistently found the prices in this guide to be many times too high in my research, for online sales. The actual identification portion of the guide isn't very robust, but it does provide some useful information that the others do not. But honestly, I rarely use this book. I use it when the other guides I have leave me stumped and I need to cross-reference different opinions on particular features of a marble. Buy this book to supplement your library, but do not lean on it heavily for your identification purposes, especially as a price guide.
This is a fantastic marble book! It has a lot of detail, perfect for identifying, and a fantastic value guide! This marble book is very precise and has a lot of good information in it! I highly recommend getting this book if you are looking for a marble book that identifies, gives a good value price, and also has the names of companies who makes certain marbles along with the price. My fiance' and I have a bunch of marbles and I bought this book for him for his birthday and also for him to identify his marbles. He loves it! This book is a lot better than I expected or even hoped for!

This is a great price guide for antique marbles. It provides pricing details, grading info, and a nice identification guide. I picked up some marbles at an auction, and really did not know what I had until I got this book. It really paid for itself the first time that I used it!
