I'm using the kindle version on my ipad. The vocab tables are so pixelated that I can barely read them. The rest of the text is ok, but the vocab is all I need from this book, which is very hard to read.
This review pertains to the content within the book itself. This book exposes the student to a myriad of useful terms routinely used in the medical setting. The chapters are well organized in a way that allows the independent learner to progress through the book and absorb the material. My main complaint however, comes from some of the vague, and even inaccurate definitions presented within this book. As a clinical lab scientist, I'm well aware that Streptococci bacterium do not form spores and that lymphocytes are not produced in the lymph nodes. I feel that this sort of misleading information could result in confusion for students as they continue with their studies. Until the erroneous information is corrected, I'd steer clear from this one if at all possible.
Had to use this book for a class, I rented it for a great price. I wish I would have bought it instead so I could keep it for my medical job just to use as a reference. Great book, lots to learn in it.
This product has been the most helpful I have experienced toward understanding the fundamentals of how medical terms are made and communicated. It lists very helpful charts to facilitate your memory of word roots and how to apply the proper prefixes and suffixes. This is a must have for anyone in the Clinical Sciences or Medical Field! Five stars!
Terrible format, difficult to adjust the size of the font, also the search does not work on specific, the information is in images no text, and that is the reason why I buy an ebook and not the paper. Wish​ I could return it and get the paper version.
A very useful book!
Have really loved this textbook for the past 3 months... until I got to Chapter 17 to find that four pages have been ripped out from the end of the chapter. I know this book is used but that should be something to look for before sending it out to more students. I will only be able to learn 3/4 of the content for my test.
As discribed. Using the book for my Paramedic class.
